THE PUERTO CHEF
Great love for kitchen and since I was seventeen years old I incorporated to my first job at a hotel as a cook. I then started growing and going to bigger hotels and resorts in the Mayan Riviera, Cancun and Los Cabos. Giving me till now 19 years of experience and openings of hotels and restaurants Its in the Mayan Riviera that my carree was forged and thats why I am convinced that discipline and the constant search for excelence must be a day by day way of living.
After this experiences in January 2019 i recieve the invitation to join and be part of Meshico Group in Dubai. A project that convinced me since the start. To take to the other side of the world all the flavours and colors of my culture.
Yordy Herrera Gomez from Cancun, Mexico is one of our wonderful chefs in Puerto 99 with more than 10 years of experience, preparing incredible dishes where the unique flavors of Mexican gastronomy are highlighted.
His favorite dish is the “MOLE” traditional dish of our culture, where different ingredients and ancestral preparations are used.
Since 2019 he is part of our family and to this day he is characterized by always giving the best of himself with his work, knowledge and experience to our diners.
It is worth mentioning his participation as Chef during the EXPO DUBAI 2020 where he captured the essence and Mexican flavor in each of his dishes.

Jonathan Peña Rojas, originally from Mexico City, passionate about discovering new destinations and cultures is our Sous Chef at Puerto 99.
Graduated in administration and culinary arts at the Ambrosia Culinary Center of Mexico, he arrived in Dubai to be part of our family 3 years ago with the intention and task of leaving high the flavor and beauty of our Mexican culture.
He participated in the presence of Meshico Restaurant in the Mexican pavilion at the EXPO DUBAI 2020 and if you want to discover more about its history and of course delight you with all its dishes, we are waiting for you at Puerto 99.
